The Africa Climate Action Initiative ("ACAI", "we", "us") is a non-profit organisation registered in Ghana with the Registrar General's Department (No. CG044450523). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and how we keep it safe.

• Information you give us: when you complete our contact, get-involved or newsletter forms we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, location, organisation and message.
• Technical information: our hosting provider may automatically record basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and performance purposes.

We do not sell advertising on this website, and we do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

2. How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiries and requests.
• To match volunteers, ambassadors, schools and partners with suitable opportunities.
• To send our monthly climate update, if you have subscribed.
• To keep this website secure and working properly.

3. Legal basis

We process personal data with your consent (for example, when you submit a form or subscribe) and where necessary for our legitimate interest in running our programmes, in line with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

4. Sharing your information

We never sell or rent your personal information. We only share it with trusted service providers who help us operate this website and process form submissions (such as our web hosting provider), and only to the extent needed. We may disclose information if required by law.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and volunteer records for up to two years after our last contact with you, unless a longer period is required by law. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time, and we will remove their details.

6. Children's privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information online. Our school activities are arranged through teachers and school authorities.

7. Your rights
