Progress against our 2025 goals

We set clear annual targets for each programme and report progress honestly — including where we are still working to catch up.

Figures are drawn from attendance registers, distribution records and participant surveys, and are reviewed by our board.

Stories of change

Behind every number is a person.

Community Resilience

Keeping children learning through a hard season

After months of intense heat and unreliable rainfall pushed up food and water costs, a children's home we work with was struggling to cover basics. Our volunteers delivered drinking water, food staples and learning kits — and ran a session on staying safe in extreme heat and storing water hygienically.

Result: 120 children supplied with learning kits and trained in heat and water safety.

Climate Literacy

A reading corner built by the community

Rather than importing furniture, we hired a local carpenter to build shelves on site. The approach cut costs, supported a local livelihood and gave the community a sense of ownership. Teachers now schedule weekly reading periods, including climate and nature stories.

Result: a permanent reading space used by every class in the school.

Young leaders, elders and ACAI facilitators gathered after a youth climate dialogue
Youth Leadership

Young voices, shared priorities

Our youth climate dialogue brought together students, apprentices, young farmers, parents and community leaders. Together they identified three local priorities: tree planting around the school, better waste disposal and climate lessons for out-of-school youth.

Result: 40+ participants and three community-led action plans.

Monitoring, evaluation & learning

How we measure change

Activity records

Attendance registers and distribution logs for every session and delivery.

Before & after surveys

Short knowledge and attitude surveys to track learning over time.

Community feedback

Follow-up visits and feedback circles to hear what changed and what did not.

Learning reviews

Quarterly team reviews turn findings into better programmes.
